THE WHYWhen you use Google Slides Links to an external site. your presentation is automatically saved. You keep all the drafts of a document in one file and can view or revert to previous versions. You can access and edit your document on nearly any device. You don't need to backup files as Google does that for you. You can easily collaborate with anyone, even if they do not have a Google account, and collaborate in real time, using the comment and chat features. You can create and share slides templates or distribute digital copies of a slides show. You can voice type speaker notes. You can include links to online content and multimedia. You can easily publish your slideshow to the web making it viewable to the world. Google Slides supports collaboration, communication and creativity. The ability to publish and share slides can be used to provide an authentic audience for students' work and supports global connections. Google Slides facilitates the process of providing timely and actionable feedback and can be used for formative assessment purposes. It provides the opportunity to teach students about information literacy, creative credit, and copyright.
