THE WHYWith Google Calendar Links to an external site. you can schedule single events or recurring events and add reminders; share calendars or create team calendars; keep track of tasks; organize a meeting with RSVPs, location, and attached agendas; provide appointment slots for visitors to use to sign-up; schedule and conduct a virtual meeting; sync your calendar on all your devices; reserve conference rooms; and more. Google Calendar facilitates communication and collaboration. It provides an easy way to communicate events and reminders to parents and students. Students can utilize shared calendars when collaborating with others on projects to schedule tasks, due dates, etc. They can also use it when working on big projects to break down the necessary steps and create a plan. When teaching students how to use their Google Calendars it is important to include lessons on privacy and security.
