THE WHYGoogle Sites allows you to create your own website, collaborate with others on publishing a team/department/grade level website, and make your website available to the public or just users with Willard Schools Google accounts. It is very easy to add content from your Google Drive to a site, as well as embed content from other sources such as FlipGrid Links to an external site. or Social Media Links to an external site.. Google sites are responsive - which means they function well on multiple devices. Google Sites can be used to facilitate creativity, communication, collaboration or critical thinking when used by students. They can add authenticity to the learning and give all students a voice, since the sites can be shared beyond the classroom walls. When creating a site, students have the opportunity to demonstrate their learning while designing, constructing, planning, and organizing. It is important that students learn about creating a digital footprint, information literacy, privacy and security, creative credit and copyright.
