Seesaw
What is Seesaw?
Classes and Student Enrollment
Teachers who started with a free account have been migrated to our pilot instance. These teachers may continue to use this class that they set up, but will have to maintain enrollment themselves. They will have access to the paid account features. Or, these teachers could choose to start using the classes generated by the sync. Other teachers who do not have existing free accounts with current classes can use the classes generated by the sync. Student enrollment in these courses will be automatically maintained.
Elementary Teachers
All homeroom and special classes (Art, Music, PE, Library, and Computer) in SIS are synced with Seesaw.
Intermediate Teachers
Homeroom, ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies classes in SIS are synced with Seesaw.
Special Ed Teachers have 2 Options
- Ask the homeroom teacher to manually add you to their Seesaw classes so that you can have access to your students.
- You can manually create your own Seesaw classes and enroll your students in these classes.

Willard Guides
- Inviting Parents: For legal purposes, it is important to only approve connections to parents listed in SIS, Student Records. When invited, parents will see a list of all the students in the class and have to click on their student's name. Then the teacher will have to accept their request to connect to that student. Once a parent is connected to a child, that connection will persist for future classes. You have 2 choices:
- Follow the steps in this guide Links to an external site. to email parents from SIS, Student Records. This is the recommended protocol.
- Choose to use one of the options in Seesaw, Links to an external site. and then when approving connections look up the parent contact information in SIS Links to an external site. to verify.
