NWEA MAP Growth Professional Learning Online Courses
The NWEA Professional Learning Online Courses provide you with access to a learning path of online training courses that will prepare you for your role in the MAP Growth assessments. The online format affords you flexibility in scheduling and pacing, as well as the opportunity to review content as needed.
STEP 1: Register
Access the Registration page Links to an external site. and follow the steps in this guide Links to an external site. to complete your account registration for the NWEA MAP Growth Professional Learning Online Courses. This account is separate from the account you use to log into the MAP Growth testing and reporting site.
STEP 2: Access the Courses for Your Learning Path
Watch this video tutorial on navigating the Professional Learning Courses Links to an external site.. This video demonstrates one way to access the courses, but clicking the links below is the simplest way. TIP: You will need to be logged into Novell in order to access any of the PL videos, as they are posted to Vimeo which the filter allows only staff to access.
Courses do NOT have to be completed in one sitting. On the My Courses page you may be enrolled in courses that aren’t intended for your role. You do NOT have to complete all the course on your My Courses page. To complete a course, you must view each required activity. Sometimes you just need to read the information or download a file in the activity. Many courses are interactive video courses that track your progress by how long you view the video, quiz results during the video, and video completion acknowledgments near the end of videos.
Locate your Learning Path below and click a course to access it. You will have to log into the Professional Learning site Links to an external site. with the credentials that you established when you registered.
Teachers of Grades K-2
Teachers will complete 2 Learning Paths: K-2 Teacher/Instructor Links to an external site. and Test Proctor Links to an external site.. Second grade teachers will follow these protocols for first semester when students need the audio support.
Complete before Testing:

2. MAP Growth K-2: Basics

3. Proctor Quick Start
Links to an external site. 15 minutes
4. Proctor Intermediate
Links to an external site. 10 minutes;
Note: New students will be added by the Data Administrator. Teachers/Proctors should NOT add students.
Complete after Testing:
1. Use of MAP Growth Data

2. MAP Growth K-2: Key Reports for Teachers

Teachers of Grades 2-11
