Intro to Lightspeed Classroom
Welcome to Lightspeed Classroom, please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns!! I think you'll find the capabilities very useful!
I have created a basic Getting Started document (linked below), because some of the initial setup is somewhat specific to your building. You will want to read through this document in order to get a feel for how the classes are scheduled, and how you get access to the devices of the students sitting in front of you at any point in the day.

Your student rosters should all be in the system already, and they should stay accurate (with an allowance of a day or two for new students to show up). Once your classes are all assigned a schedule (HS & MS teachers) or you are comfortable with using the Ad Hoc schedule to start your class session, the remaining training information that is available from the Lightspeed website is pretty helpful (link in the next paragraph).
You'll find a lot of the things you can do are pretty intuitive, and it won't take you long to be viewing student screens, analyzing student web histories (you will only see the history of where they go during your class period), closing unnecessary student tabs, limiting students to specific websites, etc. All of these features and more are described in the Lightspeed Classroom Management Teacher Training Links to an external site. website.
When you are ready to begin, give yourself 5-10 minutes to read the Getting Started document above and to get your class schedules all setup and understood. Then you should be ready to go with experimenting with your classes! Feel free to experiment as much as you like, you shouldn't be able to "break" anything. One thing you should be cognizant of however, ALWAYS be sure students are physically IN YOUR CLASS when you try to control what is happening. We don't want any weird situations where you are restricting or interacting with a student who is not physically in front of you. This shouldn't be a big concern, but something you should keep in the back of your mind.
Have FUN!!!
