Screen Capture
Watch the Screen Capture Video (Links to an external site.) (2.5 minutes) under the More Tools Tab.
Can be used to capture anything displayed on the screen, even outside of the Starboard software. By default, what is captured is automatically pasted into the current Starboard page. What you capture can be manually pasted into a Word document, Google doc, etc.
- Menu>Tools>Accessories>Screen Capture

A window will open with 4 options:
- desktop: capture a picture of the entire desktop
- window: capture a picture of a particular window
- drag select: tap and drag to select a rectangular area
- free-hand: tap and drag to draw an area of any shape
- To do a screen capture outside of the Starboard software click the mouse button in the toolbar. Display what you want to capture. Then access the Screen Capture tool.

Click the last small button in the window of capture tools to display options.
- Timer: Set screen capture to start in 0, 5 or 10 seconds
- Save as an image file: display a dialogue box after the capture for you to choose where to save the file.
- Continue Shooting: capture tools remains available so that you can use it continuously
- Automatic Paste: the captured image is automatically pasted at the end of the current Starboard page

- Invert Selection: anything outside the selected area will be captured
Application
- You can capture what is on the screen, save it to a file and then add that image file to a page in your Canvas course.
